The Brooklyn-based artists Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller began their prolific collaboration as Faile in 1999 by creating street art in New York City and beyond. During the decade that followed, Faile have established themselves as the leading figures in the genre of urban art and expanded their practice to walls of renowned galleries such as Gagosian and Lazarides. Faile still work on the streets of cities throughout the world and are held in high esteem by their artist peers.
Faile: Prints + Originals 1999–2009 is the first comprehensive collection of Faile’s visually omnivorous print-making technique spanning the last decade. Their work can be seen both as a reinvention of the pop and classic American collage traditions, and an artistic vision of the fragmented, interconnected 21st century.
