Nabokov

This volume documents the encounter between two fascinating personalities: For 15 years the swiss photographer Horst Tappe has portrayed Vladimir Nabokov, the author of Lolita.

The pictures show a passionate, charming but also strict and stubborn writer and academic in his everyday life- as an epicure on a hotel terrace, as the partner of his wife Véra and as a contemplative loner.

A special treat are the images showing Nabokov as a passionate lepidopterist on the hunt. Supplemented by quotes, these pictures are published as a whole for the first time.
