Perhaps best known for his exceptional apples and pears, Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) was one of the founding fathers of modern art.

Fellow painter Walter Erben spent countless hours conversing with his colleague Joan Miró at his house in Mallorca in preparation for this book. Miró gave Erben many interesting insights into his art, as well as his own interpretations of his works.
