The Edge of It The book is thought as a collection of interviews with representatives of the art world, whose experience and work are related to the peripheries. These talks will be aimed at the identification of specific problems related to the circulation of culture on the peripheries. We will talk about how specific countries and regions are perceived in the art world, what is the model of artistic career, what makes a work of art recognised, what models of identity can emerge looking at the contemporary art world, who is the peripheral man and what the story stands behind him. Speaking with curators, critics, art historians, artists, gallery owners and organisers of major artistic events we want to draw the map of peripheries so that conferences, planned as the next stage of the project, can operate on conclusions and diagnosis emerging from the discussions.
