Queen of Corona is a look into the inner life of the inner city. A foray into the mind and heart of a young woman on the cusp of adulthood, torn from her destiny because she dared to stand up and speak up for those who don't have a voice. A glimpse inside the hopeless hallways of New York City's failing public schools. When a high school protest turns bloody, the police turn on the innocent. This is the story of a young woman running to escape her fate, only to dig deeper into who she is and where she is going. A lesson on how fear is the most dangerous aspect of our Trumped-up existence. The story is told from the perspective of a 17-year-old girl, a pupil at an inner-city high school in Queens, New York. It delves into the mind of a young American adult growing up in a multicultural society that is impacted from all sides by the nation's politics - at the highest and lowest levels. We follow Roza, a half-Polish, half-Venezuelan girl who is running after a student protest ends in tragedy. She is ushered onto an airplane by her mother, headed back to her mother's native Poland - for the first time in her life. Her journey is both a way of escaping a seemingly dead-end existence and a chance at rediscovering herself and a new way of being. It is a coming-of-age novel in a dangerous age, in the age of Trump and all the forces stirring with and against the American president.

Esterhazy is the pseudonym adopted by a journalist, writer and translator living between New York and Warsaw. With a background in Comparative Literature (B.A. New York University) and American Studies (M.A. University of Warsaw), the author has meshed her zeal for exploring the reality behind political strife and the status quo with a poetic dexterity for the written word. Following over a dozen publications as a translator of children's books and art books worldwide, this is the author's first independent work of literature. Her literary style walks the line between literary tradition and a new, democratic spirit of self-expression. She takes the grit of an inner-city existence and raises into the realm of high art. The book has been produced by the Polish artist, designer and author, with graphics contributed by artist and designer Nadia Honorata.
